Connor Gilmor is a Multimedia Journalism major at Ohio Northern University. He participated in a presentation during the festival over the differences between regular sports journalism and journalism during the Super Bowl. Gilmor shares his personal experience of the Ada Football Festival:
Q1. How would you describe your experience at the Ada Football Festival? A1. The festival was a very incredible experience, that showed the nature of the Ada and Ohio Northern community, and how we all share experiences as part of the same community. I felt more of an attachment to the Ada community after the experience. Q2. Would you say your time at the festival was a positive experience? A2. I would definitely say the festival was a positive experience, because it was a fun and interesting event that brought the community together. Q3. Would you recommend the festival to a friend? A3. Yes, I definitely would. It’s something I think more people should be experiencing and enjoying. Q4. How did this festival make you feel about celebrating the super bowl? A4. It made the super bowl feel like a larger event than I normally think of it as, and as a more important one. It makes me want to celebrate the super bowl more often. Q5. Was the outcome of the Super Bowl surprising to you? A5. I wasn’t really surprised the Patriots won. They are a good team, and even though I wanted the falcons to win, it was a well-played game. Q6. Do you think you’ll attend next year’s festival? A6. I think I will most likely attend next year’s festival to experience it again.
